The UN Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Goldcrest High is a leading environmentally sustainable school which integrates sustainable initiatives in the curriculum and develops student’s individual and collective responsibility towards the local environment, thereby impacting the wider world. Concern for the environment is one of the priorities and “Humanity in Harmony with the Earth” is what Goldcrest High seeks to inspire and invoke in all associated with it. Students become ECO Leaders who organise and lead sustainability initiatives within the school community through various activities.

Ocean Matters: Safeguarding Our Oceans.

Goldcrest High, Vashi has been an active member of the project - Ocean Matters: Safeguarding Our Oceans. The US Consulate General Chennai, India, along with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), has implemented this unique school program, which promotes evidence-based awareness and education in schools to safeguard the oceans.

As a part of the project, students and teachers were sensitized about marine pollution and contribute to the enhancement of overall cleanliness of the city's beaches, thus mitigating marine pollution and conservation of the marine ecosystem.

The project will help students to generate scientific data of the immediate environment and promote evidence-based solutions for environmental issues.

Collective Responsibility Drive - Recycling towards sustainable efforts
